CALCIUM CARBONATE

Erie is manufacturing Calcium Carbonate, agglomerated and directly compressible.

Our product is well adapted for tabletting, for applications in food supplement and pharmaceutical.

We are using various types of binders like acacia gum, maltodextrin, as well as mixed binders.

The reasons to use agglomeration are to minimize dust, to improve flowability, to have improved metering and dosing characteristics, no segregation of co-agglomerated materials, to increase and control bulk density, to define shape, size, or weight.

 

We are using a combination of raw materials with unique lead levels blended together, and metered into a continuous Schugi (inline mixer) system with a specific amount of liquid binder material to mix with the calcium carbonate powder.

The powder/liquid mixture drops into a Fluid Bed Dryer to dry off excess moisture.

Dried product is conveyed to a sieve screener to remove over sized particles and allow the correct particle size material to pass through an inline metal detector and into the filler.

Finished material is packaged in either 25 Kg bags or 900 Kg totes, the shelf life is 24 month
